Jonathan started his career at Mills and Wood, based in London’s West End, in 2007 joining as a sandwich student whilst studying Real Estate Management at university. Jonathan then rejoined Grant Mills Wood in 2009 following graduation from Kingston University. His early career at Grant Mills Wood, as a Graduate Surveyor to Associate, was centred on industrial and office agency in North West London then moving to regional development consultancy on behalf of Sainsbury’s Supermarkets Ltd. In 2013 he joined Lidl UK GmbH as an acquisitions manager. This role involved all stages of food store delivery from appraising the initial financial viability to securing a satisfactory planning consent.
In June 2015 Jonathan joined Flude Commercial at their Chichester office focusing on business space agency. This role was focused on advising private and institutional clients on the disposal of freehold and leasehold commercial property in West Sussex. After being approached by JLL, Jonathan joined the UK largest industrial agency business working jointly from JLL’s Southampton and Warwick Street offices. As an Associate Director at JLL Jonathan headed up the industrial team in Southampton, covering industrial instructions from Bournemouth in the west to Worthing in the east. Projects in this central south coast market ranged from 500 sq ft to 340,000 sq ft industrial/warehouse properties, acting for clients such as Mountpark, LaSalle Investment Management, Aviva Investors, Kier, Hermes, Chichester District Council, GlaxoSmithKline, and Adur & Worthing Councils.
Since 2010 Jonathan has been a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, his primary focus now is-
- Commercial agency, focusing on the acquisition or disposal of freehold and leasehold property
- General lease advisory for landlords and tenants
- Rent review and lease renewal negotiations
- Development consultancy
- Property management
Jonathan always aspired to work alongside is father, and in January 2021 he joined Chris at Manhire LLP. As a father of three Jonathan can be usually found either on the beach at West Wittering or on a bike ride, but where possible trying to escape to the cricket pitch or golf course.

Chris is a Chartered Surveyor and was a Director of Nash and Partners based in Chichester for 40 Years ,starting ManhireLLP in 2017.
His experience has encompassed all aspects of Property Construction and Development. Acting as Project Manager for West Ham United in the re-development of 3 stands at the iconic Boleyn Ground prior to moving to the Olympic Stadium, to working closely with private clients in advising on development and construction of bespoke houses.
He also provides property advice to private clients and to local and national companies on all aspects of property ownership. Present projects include advising a private client on obtaining planning consent on a commercial development site to residential, managing the design and construction of a mezzanine office addition and a large extension to a warehouse facility for two local companies.
Away from the office he can be found in or on the water and walking in the Downs with the Dog.
